I’M BACK! And better than ever (kind of)!
This summer has been a hectic one for me to say the least. I’ve been working at Madewell as a Sales Associate, interning for College Fashionista as a Style Guru, and interning for my mom’s company Greekeys. I have been loving all three of my jobs so far, and each teach me something different about the industry I am interested in.
Last week my internship with Greekeys took me to California for the Biannual Kappa Kappa Gamma Convention. It was a great experience for me to really promote their sorority jewelry! After working behind a booth for two days, we took a small trip to L.A.!
I had never been to L.A. before so this was really exciting. Our first stop was Universal Hollywood to see Harry Potter World! It DID NOT disappoint at all. It was amazing how they brought everything that I have read to life right before me. Yes, the Butterbeer was fantastic!
We also stopped by other sections of the park that included: Despicable Me, Jurassic Park, and the Simpsons. Our day at Universal was truly unforgettable, and my family and I can’t wait to go back.
The next we stopped by LACMA, Venice Beach, and Malibu. We started at LACMA cause I was dying to see the iconic ‘Urban Light’ on display. Besides that, I wasn’t every impressed with the museum itself. Second to Universal, I have to say that Venice Beach was pretty amazing and vibrant. My mom used to live there back when she attended GIA, so she showed us where she used to live and around the beach.
We finished the day by watching the sun set in Malibu. We drove up to Pepperdine University to get the best view. The view and the campus were both beautiful!
I can’t wait to travel back to the west coast soon and see more of its beauty! My next articles will include what we ate while away and my June favorites!
